My first experience with a MINELAB DETECTOR was in Murray, Idaho. Hunting gold with a new GPX 4000 on a friend’s claim called the Bullfrog. We had a backhoe turning the ground, and I told myself the best way to really learn a DETECTOR of that calibre was to experiment with all the settings a little each day. Late in the day, I got a signal, scooped it up, and uncovered a half pennyweight nugget shaped like a baseball glove holding a ball, solid gold with a perfect round bit of quartz in the middle. That moment stuck with me, and I’ve trusted MINELAB ever since.
